GI Bill Benefits for Registered Apprentices
The GI Bill® is a group of benefits available to veterans, service members and immediate family members. Once individuals have earned the GI Bill® through their service, the next step is to apply to use the benefit with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Once you receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the VA, submit your COE to VAbenefits@eti-indy.org to finalize the certification process. Please note that we do not determine an apprentice’s eligibility for benefits. Only the VA can approve your eligibility and issue you a COE. The Electrical Training Institute is a “covered educational facility” listed under the name “Indianapolis Electrical JATC”.
Each month a registered apprentice works, they will be required to fill out a work process form and submit it to our office for approval. One of our School Certifying Officers (SCO) will review the submitted form and validate the information. Finally, we will certify the month and report this information to the VA.
